King's Tree Farm & Nursery
King’s Tree Farm & Nursery, located on Route 133 in West Boxford, Massachusetts, is owned and operated by Dick and Eva King. In 1964, we purchased 14 acres of land, which was originally part of Civil War Governor John Andrew’s farm. Along with it came Dole Meadow, which consisted of 20 acres of wetlands.
In 1974, we planted our first Christmas trees, and that crop was cut in 1982. Evie King worked with us at King’s Tree Farm & Nursery until 1994, as we gradually expanded the nursery. We began propagating many of our own plants, aided by the experience and knowledge of Roger Coggeshall.
Over the years, we have shifted our focus from selling only Christmas trees to being a full-scale garden center as well. We specialize in native plants and wetland species, such as azaleas, rhododendrons, viburnums, blueberries, and hollies. We also grow 50 different kinds of hostas, 30 types of daylilies, and 50 varieties of lilacs. Many of the lilacs are propagated by Syringa Plus.
