A Richard Fenicchia registration, 1969.
{‘Rochester’ × ?}.
Single, multipetalled blue.

'Dwight D. Eisenhower' was one the first ‘Rochester’ hybrids that displayed multipetalling. This sky blue-colored bloom has huge flower clusters on a medium-sized plant. ‘Dwight D. Eisenhower’ is an upright, vigorous grower, suckers well, and has good green foliage.

The unopened buds are magenta in color and are displayed above the foliage, making it a striking plant when viewed from a distance.

‘Dwight D. Eisenhower’ was named after our 34th President and, incidentally, one of the original plants is planted on the White House lawn.
